8.믿음으로 아브라함은 부르심을 받았을 때에 순종하여 장래의 유업으로 받을 땅에 나아갈새 갈 바를 알지 못하고 나아갔으며 9.믿음으로 그가 이방의 땅에 있는 것 같이 약속의 땅에 거류하여 동일한 약속을 유업으로 함께 받은 이삭 및 야곱과 더불어 장막에 거하였으니 10.이는 그가 하나님이 계획하시고 지으실 터가 있는 성을 바랐음이라 11.믿음으로 사라 자신도 나이가 많아 단산하였으나 잉태할 수 있는 힘을 얻었으니 이는 약속하신 이를 미쁘신 줄 알았음이라 12.이러므로 죽은 자와 같은 한 사람으로 말미암아 하늘의 허다한 별과 또 해변의 무수한 모래와 같이 많은 후손이 생육하였느니라 13.이 사람들은 다 믿음을 따라 죽었으며 약속을 받지 못하였으되 그것들을 멀리서 보고 환영하며 또 땅에서는 외국인과 나그네임을 증언하였으니 14.그들이 이같이 말하는 것은 자기들이 본향 찾는 자임을 나타냄이라 15.그들이 나온 바 본향을 생각하였더라면 돌아갈 기회가 있었으려니와 16.그들이 이제는 더 나은 본향을 사모하니 곧 하늘에 있는 것이라 이러므로 하나님이 그들의 하나님이라 일컬음 받으심을 부끄러워하지 아니하시고 그들을 위하여 한 성을 예비하셨느니라. 17.아브라함은 시험을 받을 때에 믿음으로 이삭을 드렸으니 그는 약속들을 받은 자로되 그 외아들을 드렸느니라 18.그에게 이미 말씀하시기를 네 자손이라 칭할 자는 이삭으로 말미암으리라 하셨으니 19.그가 하나님이 능히 이삭을 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리실 줄로 생각한지라 비유컨대 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 도로 받은 것이니라. [ESV] 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore. 13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15 If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, 18 of whom it was said, “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 19 He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.

1. 어디로 가야 할지 모를 때 하나님께 순종 - He obeyed God when he didn’t know where.

아브라함은 하나님께서 떠나라 하실 때 자기의 그동안 쌓아 놓은 모든 것을 두고 말씀에 순종하여 떠났다. - When God told Abraham to leave, he obeyed His word and left behind everything he had accumulated over the years.
2. 어떻게 해야 할지 모를 때 하나님께 순종 - He obeyed God when he didn’t know how.
히브리서(Hebrews) 11:11-12, 11.믿음으로 사라 자신도 나이가 많아 단산하였으나 잉태할 수 있는 힘을 얻었으니 이는 약속하신 이를 미쁘신 줄 알았음이라 12.이러므로 죽은 자와 같은 한 사람으로 말미암아 하늘의 허다한 별과 또 해변의 무수한 모래와 같이 많은 후손이 생육하였느니라. 11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.

아브라함과 사라는 자신의 늙은 육신을 보지 않고 전능하신 하나님의 능력과 신실하심을 바라보았다. - Abraham and Sarah did not look at their old bodies, but looked at the power and faithfulness of the Almighty God.
3. 언제 해야 할지 모를 때 하나님께 순종 - He obeyed God when he didn’t know when.

골로새서(Colossians) 3:1-2, 1.그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 살리심을 받았으면 위의 것을 찾으라 거기는 그리스도께서 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시느니라. 2.위의 것을 생각하고 땅의 것을 생각하지 말라. 1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
아브라함은 더 나은 본향을 바라 보고 땅에서는 외국인과 나그네로 살았다. - Abraham looked forward to a better homeland and lived as a foreigner and a stranger on earth.
4. 왜 해야 할지 모를 때 하나님께 순종 - He obeyed God when he didn’t know why.

창세기(Genesis) 22:12&16-18, 12.사자가 이르시되 그 아이에게 네 손을 대지 말라 그에게 아무 일도 하지 말라 네가 네 아들 네 독자까지도 내게 아끼지 아니하였으니 내가 이제야 네가 하나님을 경외하는 줄을 아노라. / 16.이르시되 여호와께서 이르시기를 내가 나를 가리켜 맹세하노니 네가 이같이 행하여 네 아들 네 독자도 아끼지 아니하였은즉 17.내가 네게 큰 복을 주고 네 씨가 크게 번성하여 하늘의 별과 같고 바닷가의 모래와 같게 하리니 네 씨가 그 대적의 성문을 차지하리라 18.또 네 씨로 말미암아 천하 만민이 복을 받으리니 이는 네가 나의 말을 준행하였음이니라 하셨다 하니라. 12 “Don’t lay a hand on the boy!” the angel said. “Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know that you truly fear God. You have not withheld from me even your son, your only son.” / 16 “This is what the Lord says: Because you have obeyed me and have not withheld even your son, your only son, I swear by my own name that 17 I will certainly bless you. I will multiply your descendants beyond number, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. 18 And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.”
하나님보다 앞세우는 것이 없는 것이 하나님이 인정하시는 참된 믿음이다. - True faith, recognized by God, is when nothing is placed before God.
CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 아브라함 처럼 어디로, 어떻게, 언제, 왜 해야 하는지 모를 때 조차 하나님을 신뢰하고 그분께 순종하며 살아 가시기를 바랍니다. - I pray that you trust in God and obey Him even when you do not know where, how, when, or why, just as Abraham did.
