요한계시록(Revelation) 3:17, 17.네가 말하기를 나는 부자라 부요하여 부족한 것이 없다 하나 네 곤고한 것과 가련한 것과 가난한 것과 눈 먼 것과 벌거벗은 것을 알지 못하는도다. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
1. 십자가를 지고 주님을 따름 (자기 부인과 결단) -Taking up the Cross and Following the Lord (Self-Denial and Resolution)
자신의 부족함(곤고함과 비천함)을 깨닫고, 오직 주님만을 의지하며 나아가기로 결단할 때 인용되는 대표적인 구절입니다. - This is a representative passage often cited when one recognizes one’s own inadequacies (humility and lowliness) and resolves to move forward relying solely on the Lord.

2. 예수의 마음으로 나눔을 가짐 (이웃 사랑의 실천) - Sharing with the Mind of Jesus (Putting Love for Others into Practice)
'마음을 어디에 두고 살고 있나요? 시작하는 단어는 성경적 문맥에서 '마음'을 의미하는 경우가 많습니다. 하나님을 사랑하는 마음이 이웃에 대한 구체적인 나눔과 사랑으로 이어져야 함을 강조합니다. - “Where is your mind focused as you live your life?” In a biblical context, the word “mind” often appears at the beginning of such statements. This emphasizes that a mind that loves God must lead to concrete acts of sharing and love toward our neighbors.

3. 나를 알고 이웃을 아는 지혜 - The Wisdom of Knowing Oneself and One’s Neighbor
성경은 먼저 하나님 앞에서 자신의 비참한 상태를 깨닫고(나를 앎), 그 은혜로 이웃을 용납하고 사랑할 것을 가르칩니다. - The Bible teaches us to first recognize our wretched state before God (knowing oneself) and, through His grace, to accept and love our neighbors.
