12.그러므로 피곤한 손과 연약한 무릎을 일으켜 세우고 13.너희 발을 위하여 곧은 길을 만들어 저는 다리로 하여금 어그러지지 않고 고침을 받게 하라 14.모든 사람과 더불어 화평함과 거룩함을 따르라 이것이 없이는 아무도 주를 보지 못하리라 15.너희는 하나님의 은혜에 이르지 못하는 자가 없도록 하고 또 쓴 뿌리가 나서 괴롭게 하여 많은 사람이 이로 말미암아 더럽게 되지 않게 하며 16.음행하는 자와 혹 한 그릇 음식을 위하여 장자의 명분을 판 에서와 같이 망령된 자가 없도록 살피라 17.너희가 아는 바와 같이 그가 그 후에 축복을 이어받으려고 눈물을 흘리며 구하되 버린 바가 되어 회개할 기회를 얻지 못하였느니라. [ESV] 12 Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. 14 Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; 16 that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. 17 For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears.

대속죄일(영어: Day of Atonement, 히브리어: יום כיפור) 또는 속죄일은 성력 7월 10일에 지키는 하나님의 절기다. 그레고리력(태양력)으로는 9~10월경에 해당한다. 히브리어로 이날을 ‘욤 키푸르(Yom Kippur)’라고 하는데, ‘욤’은 ‘날’을 뜻하고, ‘키푸르’는 ‘속죄’를 뜻한다. 대속죄일은 죄 사함을 받는 속죄의 날이라는 의미가 있다. - Yom Kippur (Hebrew: יוֹם כִּפּוּר - Yōm Kippūr, lit. 1. 서로 격려하며 길을 곧게 하라. - Encourage one another and keep the path straight.
