11:19.그 때에 스데반의 일로 일어난 환난으로 말미암아 흩어진 자들이 베니게와 구브로와 안디옥까지 이르러 유대인에게만 말씀을 전하는데 20.그 중에 구브로와 구레네 몇 사람이 안디옥에 이르러 헬라인에게도 말하여 주 예수를 전파하니 21.주의 손이 그들과 함께 하시매 수많은 사람들이 믿고 주께 돌아오더라 22.예루살렘 교회가 이 사람들의 소문을 듣고 바나바를 안디옥까지 보내니 23.그가 이르러 하나님의 은혜를 보고 기뻐하여 모든 사람에게 굳건한 마음으로 주와 함께 머물러 있으라 권하니 24.바나바는 착한 사람이요 성령과 믿음이 충만한 사람이라 이에 큰 무리가 주께 더하여지더라 25.바나바가 사울을 찾으러 다소에 가서 26.만나매 안디옥에 데리고 와서 둘이 교회에 일 년간 모여 있어 큰 무리를 가르쳤고 제자들이 안디옥에서 비로소 그리스도인이라 일컬음을 받게 되었더라 27.그 때에 선지자들이 예루살렘에서 안디옥에 이르니 28.그 중에 아가보라 하는 한 사람이 일어나 성령으로 말하되 천하에 큰 흉년이 들리라 하더니 글라우디오 때에 그렇게 되니라 29.제자들이 각각 그 힘대로 유대에 사는 형제들에게 부조를 보내기로 작정하고 30.이를 실행하여 바나바와 사울의 손으로 장로들에게 보내니라. 12:25.바나바와 사울이 부조하는 일을 마치고 마가라 하는 요한을 데리고 예루살렘에서 돌아오니라. 13:1.안디옥 교회에 선지자들과 교사들이 있으니 곧 바나바와 니게르라 하는 시므온과 구레네 사람 루기오와 분봉 왕 헤롯의 젖동생 마나엔과 및 사울이라 2.주를 섬겨 금식할 때에 성령이 이르시되 내가 불러 시키는 일을 위하여 바나바와 사울을 따로 세우라 하시니 3.이에 금식하며 기도하고 두 사람에게 안수하여 보내니라. [ESV] 11:19 Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. 20 But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. 22 The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he came and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he exhorted them all to remain faithful to the Lord with steadfast purpose, 24 for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord. 25 So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians. 27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius). 29 So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. 30 And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul. / 12:25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their service, bringing with them John, whose other name was Mark. 13:1 Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

 

Question: 세계선교는 언제 어떻게 누구에 의해 시작되었나? - When, how, and by whom did world missions begin?

 

INTRODUCTION: [바나바 = 위로의 아들] - Barnabas = son of encouragement

사도행전(Acts) 4:32-37, 32.믿는 무리가 한마음과 한 뜻이 되어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 자기 재물을 조금이라도 자기 것이라 하는 이가 하나도 없더라 33.사도들이 큰 권능으로 주 예수의 부활을 증언하니 무리가 큰 은혜를 받아 34.그 중에 가난한 사람이 없으니 이는 밭과 집 있는 자는 팔아 그 판 것의 값을 가져다가 35.사도들의 발 앞에 두매 그들이 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나누어 줌이라 36.구브로에서 난 레위족 사람이 있으니 이름은 요셉이라 사도들이 일컬어 바나바라（번역하면 위로의 아들이라）하니 37.그가 밭이 있으매 팔아 그 값을 가지고 사도들의 발 앞에 두니라. 32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. 36 Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.

 

MAIN BODY: 내가 불러 시키는 일을 위하여.(For the work to which I have called them.)

1.     핍박과 환난을 선교의 출발점으로 바꾸시는 하나님 - God, Who Turns Persecution and Tribulation into a Starting Point for Mission Work.

2.     사울을 선교의 일꾼으로 초청하는 바나바 - Barnabas Invites Saul to Become a Missionary.

3.     바나바와 사울을 선교사로 파송하는 안디옥 교회 - The Church in Antioch Sends Barnabas and Saul as Missionaries.

CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 핍박과 환난을 통해 사역의 지경을 넓혀가시는 하나님의 섭리를 인정하고 성령의 인도하심에 민감하게 순종으로 반응하며 나아가시기를 바랍니다. – I pray that you recognize God’s providence at work in expanding the scope of your ministry through persecution and trials, so that you may move forward with sensitive obedience to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
