18.예수께서 나아와 말씀하여 이르시되 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니 19.그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 침례를 베풀고 20.내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

마태복음(Matthew) 22:36-40, 36.선생님 율법 중에서 어느 계명이 크니이까 37.예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니 38.이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요 39.둘째도 그와 같으니 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하셨으니 40.이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
최대 계명은 내적인 성품과 사랑을 완성하는 '존재(Being)'의 명령이고, 지상 명령은 복음을 전하고 가르치는 '행동(Doing)'의 명령입니다. 최대 명령은 뿌리요, 지상 명령은 열매라고 할 수 있다. 최대 계명(사랑)이 동력(원동력)이 되어야, 지상 명령(전도와 제자 삼기)을 온전히 수행할 수 있습니다. 즉, 두 계명은 분리되는 것이 아니라 기독교의 '두 날개'와 같습니다.

1. 예수님의 지상 사역 - Jesus’ Ministry on Earth.
마태복음(Matthew) 4:23, 23.예수께서 온 갈릴리에 두루 다니사 그들의 회당에서 가르치시며 천국 복음을 전파하시며 백성 중의 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니 23 And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

3. 오늘날 교회가 해야 할 일 - What the Church Must Do Today.
사도행전(Acts) 1:8, 8.오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
요한복음(John) 20:21, 20.예수께서 또 이르시되 "너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라." 20 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
요한복음(John) 17:18-19, 18.아버지께서 나를 세상에 보내신 것 같이 나도 그들을 세상에 보내었고 19.또 그들을 위하여 내가 나를 거룩하게 하오니 이는 그들도 진리로 거룩함을 얻게 하려 함이니이다. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
