1.그러므로 주 안에서 갇힌 내가 너희를 권하노니 너희가 부르심을 받은 일에 합당하게 행하여 2.모든 겸손과 온유로 하고 오래 참음으로 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고 3.평안의 매는 줄로 성령이 하나 되게 하신 것을 힘써 지키라 4.몸이 하나요 성령도 한 분이시니 이와 같이 너희가 부르심의 한 소망 안에서 부르심을 받았느니라 5.주도 한 분이시요 믿음도 하나요 세례도 하나요 6.하나님도 한 분이시니 곧 만유의 아버지시라 만유 위에 계시고 만유를 통일하시고 만유 가운데 계시도다. [ESV] 1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Question: 하나님은 교회 공동체가 어떤 모습으로 하나 되기를 원하시나? - How does God want the church community to be united?

Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. / 20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.
MAIN BODY: 성령이 하나 되게 하신 것을 힘써 지키라.(Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit.)
1. 신적 소명에 의해 하나됨. - United by divine calling.
에베소서(Ephesians) 4:1, 1.그러므로 주 안에서 갇힌 내가 너희를 권하노니 너희가 부르심을 받은 일에 합당하게 행하여 1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
로마서(Romans) 12:1-2, 1.그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라. 2.너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라. 1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
우리의 온 삶은 복음의 빛 안에서 살아가야 합니다. 예수 그리스도는 만물의 주님이시며, 믿는 자로서 우리는 그분의 주권 아래 그분과 발맞추어 걸어가야 합니다. 그리스도인들은 “작은 그리스도들”입니다. “합당한 삶을 살아가라”는 말은 “예수님처럼 살아가라”는 뜻입니다. - Our whole lives are to be lived in light of the Gospel. Jesus Christ is Lord of all, and as believers we are to walk in step with Him, under His Lordship. Christians are “little Christs.” "Walk in a manner worthy" means "live like Jesus."
2. 그리스도를 닮은 행실에 의해 하나됨. - United by Christlike conduct.
에베소서(Ephesians) 4:2-3, 2.모든 겸손과 온유로 하고 오래 참음으로 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고 3.평안의 매는 줄로 성령이 하나 되게 하신 것을 힘써 지키라. 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
빌립보서(Philippians) 2:1-8, 1.그러므로 그리스도 안에 무슨 권면이나 사랑의 무슨 위로나 성령의 무슨 교제나 긍휼이나 자비가 있거든 2.마음을 같이하여 같은 사랑을 가지고 뜻을 합하며 한마음을 품어 3.아무 일에든지 다툼이나 허영으로 하지 말고 오직 겸손한 마음으로 각각 자기보다 남을 낫게 여기고 4.각각 자기 일을 돌볼뿐더러 또한 각각 다른 사람들의 일을 돌보아 나의 기쁨을 충만하게 하라 5.너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니 6.그는 근본 하나님의 본체시나 하나님과 동등됨을 취할 것으로 여기지 아니하시고 7.오히려 자기를 비워 종의 형체를 가지사 사람들과 같이 되셨고 8.사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라. 1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
갈라디아서(Galatians) 5:22-23, 22.오직 성령의 열매는 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 23.온유와 절제니 이같은 것을 금지할 법이 없느니라. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

창세기(Genesis) 3:12, 12.아담이 이르되 하나님이 주셔서 나와 함께 있게 하신 여자 그가 그 나무 열매를 내게 주므로 내가 먹었나이다. 12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”
창세기(Genesis) 4:8-9, 8.가인이 그의 아우 아벨에게 말하고 그들이 들에 있을 때에 가인이 그의 아우 아벨을 쳐죽이니라. 9.여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐 그가 이르되 내가 알지 못하나이다 내가 내 아우를 지키는 자니이까? 8 Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?”
사도행전(Acts) 2:44-47, 44.믿는 사람이 다 함께 있어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 45.또 재산과 소유를 팔아 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠 주며 46.날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고 47.하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
개개인으로서 예수님을 닮아갈수록, 그리고 관계 속에서 그리스도처럼 살아갈수록, 우리는 더욱 하나가 될 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리를 하나로 묶어 주시며, 우리는 성령의 도우심으로 그 일치를 지키기 위해 힘써야 합니다. 우리가 그리스도를 닮은 삶을 살아갈 때 교회는 하나가 되고, 하나님께서는 영광을 받으십니다. - The more we look like Jesus individually, and the more we live like Christ relationally, the more united we will become. God unites us, and we are to seek to maintain unity by the Spirit’s help. The church is unified and God is glorified when we live with such Christlike conduct.
3. 복음 고백에 의해 하나됨. - United by Gospel confession.
에베소서(Ephesians) 4:4-6, 4.몸이 하나요 성령도 한 분이시니 이와 같이 너희가 부르심의 한 소망 안에서 부르심을 받았느니라 5.주도 한 분이시요 믿음도 하나요 세례도 하나요 6.하나님도 한 분이시니 곧 만유의 아버지시라 만유 위에 계시고 만유를 통일하시고 만유 가운데 계시도다. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
요한복음(John) 17:21, 21.아버지여, 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것 같이 그들도 다 하나가 되어 우리 안에 있게 하사 세상으로 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하옵소서. 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
우리는 그분의 입양된 자녀로서 같은 아버지를 모시고 있습니다. 그분은 만물의 주님이시며, 인종을 불문하고 모든 자녀의 아버지이십니다. 우리는 하나된 커다란 입양 가족입니다. 삼위일체 하나님께서는 믿는 자들 사이에 일치를 이루실 뿐만 아니라, 일치의 궁극적인 본보기가 되십니다. - As His adopted children, we share the same Father. He is the God over all and the Father of all His children-regardless of their ethnicities. We are one big, adopted family. The triune God not only creates the unity we have as believers but also serves as the ultimate picture of unity.
CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 신적 소명과 그리스도를 닮은 행실과 복음 고백에 의해 하나가 되기를 바랍니다. – I pray that you may be united by your divine calling, Christlike conduct, and your Gospel confession.
