The name of God used in verses 1-6 is El, a title that describes the power of God. El is “the strong one.” In verses 7-9 and 14 the psalmist wrote that El is Yahweh, the name of God that stresses His covenant relationship to Israel. Thus he claimed that the Creator is Israel’s God, not some pagan nature deity.

The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

The revealed Word of God has the same dominant influence over humankind as the sun does over nature. Whereas the sun restores natural life, God’s law restores the life of the human soul. The sun dispels physical darkness, but the Word of God removes the darkness of ignorance from our understanding. It is flawless and reliable. - 계시된 하나님의 말씀은 태양이 자연계에 미치는 영향과 마찬가지로 인류에게도 지대한 영향을 미칩니다. 태양이 자연의 생명을 되살리는 것처럼, 하나님의 율법은 인간의 영혼의 생명을 되살립니다. 태양이 육체의 어둠을 몰아내듯이, 하나님의 말씀은 우리 마음속의 무지의 어둠을 걷어냅니다. 하나님의 말씀은 흠이 없고 신뢰할 수 있습니다.
3. 말씀을 대하는 성도의 자세-The Attitude of Believers for the Word.

히브리서(Hebrews) 4:12-13, 12.하나님의 말씀은 살아 있고 활력이 있어 좌우에 날선 어떤 검보다도 예리하여 혼과 영과 및 관절과 골수를 찔러 쪼개기까지 하며 또 마음의 생각과 뜻을 판단하나니 13.지으신 것이 하나도 그 앞에 나타나지 않음이 없고 우리의 결산을 받으실 이의 눈 앞에 만물이 벌거벗은 것 같이 드러나느니라. 12.For the word of God is living and active. CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 자연의 섭리와 성경말씀을 통하여 하나님을 알고 겸손히 그분을 예배하며 섬기며 살아가시기를 간절히 소원합니다. - I pray that you know God through the providence of nature and the Bible so that you worship Him humbly and serve Him while you live.
