Question: 진정한 예배는 어떻게 준비되고 지속적으로 드려지나? - How is true worship prepared and continuously offered?

문1. 사람의 제일되는 목적이 무엇인가? -Q1. What is man's primary purpose?

답. 사람의 제일되는 목적은 하나님을 영화롭게 하는 것과 영원토록 그를 즐거워 하는 것이다. -Man's primary purpose is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.

(1) 하나님을 영화롭게 하는 것이며 - To glorify God.

요한복음(John) 11:4, 4.예수께서 들으시고 이르시되 이 병은 죽을 병이 아니라 하나님의 영광을 위함이요 하나님의 아들이 이로 말미암아 영광을 받게 하려 함이라 하시더라. 4.When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it."

고린도전서(1 Corinthians) 10:31, 31.그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라. 31.So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

요한계시록(Revelation) 4:11, 11.우리 주 하나님이여 영광과 존귀와 권능을 받으시는 것이 합당하오니 주께서 만물을 지으신지라 만물이 주의 뜻대로 있었고 또 지으심을 받았나이다 하더라. 11."You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

(2) 영원토록 그를 즐거워하는 것 - To enjoy him forever.

시편(Psalms) 73:25-26, 25.하늘에서는 주 외에 누가 내게 있으리요 땅에서는 주 밖에 내가 사모할 이 없나이다 26.내 육체와 마음은 쇠약하나 하나님은 내 마음의 반석이시요 영원한 분깃이시라. 25.Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26.My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

요한복음(John) 17:22-24, 22.내게 주신 영광을 내가 그들에게 주었사오니 이는 우리가 하나가 된 것 같이 그들도 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다 23.곧 내가 그들 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시어 그들로 온전함을 이루어 하나가 되게 하려 함은 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이 그들도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다 24.아버지여 내게 주신 자도 나 있는 곳에 나와 함께 있어 아버지께서 창세 전부터 나를 사랑하시므로 내게 주신 나의 영광을 그들로 보게 하시기를 원하옵나이다. 22.I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23.I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24."Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
