11.레위 계통의 제사 직분으로 말미암아 온전함을 얻을 수 있었으면 （백성이 그 아래에서 율법을 받았으니） 어찌하여 아론의 반차를 따르지 않고 멜기세덱의 반차를 따르는 다른 한 제사장을 세울 필요가 있느냐 12.제사 직분이 바꾸어졌은즉 율법도 반드시 바꾸어지리니 13.이것은 한 사람도 제단 일을 받들지 않는 다른 지파에 속한 자를 가리켜 말한 것이라 14.우리 주께서는 유다로부터 나신 것이 분명하도다 이 지파에는 모세가 제사장들에 관하여 말한 것이 하나도 없고 15.멜기세덱과 같은 별다른 한 제사장이 일어난 것을 보니 더욱 분명하도다 16.그는 육신에 속한 한 계명의 법을 따르지 아니하고 오직 불멸의 생명의 능력을 따라 되었으니 17.증언하기를 네가 영원히 멜기세덱의 반차를 따르는 제사장이라 하였도다 18.전에 있던 계명은 연약하고 무익하므로 폐하고 19.（율법은 아무 것도 온전하게 못할지라） 이에 더 좋은 소망이 생기니 이것으로 우리가 하나님께 가까이 가느니라. [ESV] 11 Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? 12 For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well. 13 For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek, 16 who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is witnessed of him, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” 18 For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness 19 (for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.

Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
육신의 노력으로 할 수 없었던 일을 그리스도께서 하셨습니다. - What we could not do by fleshly effort, Christ did.

1. 율법과 제사장 직분의 한계 - The limitations of the law and the priesthood.

2. 멜기세덱과 같은 별다른 한 제사장 - Another Priest like Melchizedek.
히브리서(Hebrews) 7:13-15, 13.이것은 한 사람도 제단 일을 받들지 않는 다른 지파에 속한 자를 가리켜 말한 것이라 14.우리 주께서는 유다로부터 나신 것이 분명하도다 이 지파에는 모세가 제사장들에 관하여 말한 것이 하나도 없고 15.멜기세덱과 같은 별다른 한 제사장이 일어난 것을 보니 더욱 분명하도다. 13 For the one of whom these things are spoken belonged to another tribe, from which no one has ever served at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, and in connection with that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek,
시편(Psalms) 110:4, 4.여호와는 맹세하고 변하지 아니하시리라 이르시기를 너는 멜기세덱의 서열을 따라 영원한 제사장이라 하셨도다. 4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
하나님께서 약속과 맹세로 보증하신 별다른 한 제사장을 보내셨습니다. - God sent another priest who was guaranteed by promise and oath.
3. 하나님께로 가까이 이끄는 더 좋은 소망 - A better hope that draws near to God.

요한복음(John) 1:4, 4.그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

레위 제사장직의 일시성과 예수의 제사장직의 영원성을 대조한다. 육체의 계명인 레위 제사장직의 무익함과 연약함을 예수의 제사장직의 완전함과 위대함을 대조한다. 우리가 왜 그리스도의 대속적인 사역에 관한 복음을 굳게 붙들어야 하는가? 그것은 그리스도의 복음이 우리에게 완전한 구원과 영원한 생명을 가져주기 때문이다. 율법은 우리에게 일시적이고 육체적인 차원의 유익을 주지만 그리스도의 복음은 영원하고 온전한 생명에관한 유익을 준다. - Contrast the temporality of the Levitical priesthood with the permanence of Jesus' priesthood. Contrast the futility and weakness of the Levitical priesthood, a commandment of the flesh, with the perfection and greatness of Jesus' priesthood. Why should we hold fast to the gospel of Christ's substitutionary work? Because the gospel of Christ brings us full salvation and eternal life. The law benefits us on a temporary, physical level, but the gospel of Christ benefits us in terms of eternal, perfect life.
CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 그리스도 안에서 더 좋은 소망을 가지고 하나님께로 더 가까이 나아가시기 바랍니다. – I pray that you draw nearer to God with a better hope in Christ.
