TEXT PASSAGE: 스가랴(Zechariah) 7:1-14, [개역개정:ESV]

1.다리오 왕 제사년 아홉째 달 곧 기슬래월 사일에 여호와의 말씀이 스가랴에게 임하니라 2.그 때에 벧엘 사람이 사레셀과 레겜멜렉과 그의 부하들을 보내어 여호와께 은혜를 구하고 3.만군의 여호와의 전에 있는 제사장들과 선지자들에게 물어 이르되 내가 여러 해 동안 행한 대로 오월 중에 울며 근신하리이까 하매 4.만군의 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되 5.온 땅의 백성과 제사장들에게 이르라 너희가 칠십 년 동안 다섯째 달과 일곱째 달에 금식하고 애통하였거니와 그 금식이 나를 위하여, 나를 위하여 한 것이냐 6.너희가 먹고 마실 때에 그것은 너희를 위하여 먹고 너희를 위하여 마시는 것이 아니냐 7.예루살렘과 사면 성읍에 백성이 평온히 거주하며 남방과 평원에 사람이 거주할 때에 여호와가 옛 선지자들을 통하여 외친 말씀이 있지 않으냐 하시니라 8.여호와의 말씀이 스가랴에게 임하여 이르시되 9.만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하여 이르시기를 너희는 진실한 재판을 행하며 서로 인애와 긍휼을 베풀며 10.과부와 고아와 나그네와 궁핍한 자를 압제하지 말며 서로 해하려고 마음에 도모하지 말라 하였으나 11.그들이 듣기를 싫어하여 등을 돌리며 듣지 아니하려고 귀를 막으며 12.그 마음을 금강석 같게 하여 율법과 만군의 여호와가 그의 영으로 옛 선지자들을 통하여 전한 말을 듣지 아니하므로 큰 진노가 만군의 여호와께로부터 나왔도다 13.내가 불러도 그들이 듣지 아니한 것처럼 그들이 불러도 내가 듣지 아니하리라 만군의 여호와가 말하였느니라 14.내가 그들을 바람으로 불어 알지 못하던 여러 나라에 흩었느니라 그 후에 이 땅이 황폐하여 오고 가는 사람이 없었나니 이는 그들이 아름다운 땅을 황폐하게 하였음이니라 하시니라. [ESV] 1 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, which is Chislev. 2 Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech and their men to entreat the favor of the Lord, 3 saying to the priests of the house of the Lord of hosts and the prophets, “Should I weep and abstain in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?” 4 Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me: 5 “Say to all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth month and in the seventh, for these seventy years, was it for me that you fasted? 6 And when you eat and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves? 7 Were not these the words that the Lord proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and prosperous, with her cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?’” 8 And the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying, 9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.” 11 But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear. 12 They made their hearts diamond-hard lest they should hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great anger came from the Lord of hosts. 13 “As I called, and they would not hear, so they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts, 14 “and I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known. Thus the land they left was desolate, so that no one went to and fro, and the pleasant land was made desolate.”

 

Question: 주님은 우리가 어떤 마음과 삶으로 변화되기를 원하시나? - What kind of heart and life does the Lord desire us to be transformed into?

 

INTRODUCTION: [여호와께서 기뻐하시는 금식] – True Fasting

이사야(Isaiah) 58:3-9a, 3.우리가 금식하되 어찌하여 주께서 보지 아니하시오며 우리가 마음을 괴롭게 하되 어찌하여 주께서 알아 주지 아니하시나이까 보라 너희가 금식하는 날에 오락을 구하며 온갖 일을 시키는도다 4.보라 너희가 금식하면서 논쟁하며 다투며 악한 주먹으로 치는도다 너희가 오늘 금식하는 것은 너희의 목소리를 상달하게 하려는 것이 아니니라 5.이것이 어찌 내가 기뻐하는 금식이 되겠으며 이것이 어찌 사람이 자기의 마음을 괴롭게 하는 날이 되겠느냐 그의 머리를 갈대 같이 숙이고 굵은 베와 재를 펴는 것을 어찌 금식이라 하겠으며 여호와께 열납될 날이라 하겠느냐 6.내가 기뻐하는 금식은 흉악의 결박을 풀어 주며 멍에의 줄을 끌러 주며 압제 당하는 자를 자유하게 하며 모든 멍에를 꺾는 것이 아니겠느냐 7.또 주린 자에게 네 양식을 나누어 주며 유리하는 빈민을 집에 들이며 헐벗은 자를 보면 입히며 또 네 골육을 피하여 스스로 숨지 아니하는 것이 아니겠느냐 8.그리하면 네 빛이 새벽 같이 비칠 것이며 네 치유가 급속할 것이며 네 공의가 네 앞에 행하고 여호와의 영광이 네 뒤에 호위하리니 9a.네가 부를 때에는 나 여호와가 응답하겠고 네가 부르짖을 때에는 내가 여기 있다 하리라. 3 ‘Why have we fasted, and you see it not? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you take no knowledge of it?’ Behold, in the day of your fast you seek your own pleasure, and oppress all your workers. 4 Behold, you fast only to quarrel and to fight and to hit with a wicked fist. Fasting like yours this day will not make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is such the fast that I choose, a day for a person to humble himself? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and a day acceptable to the Lord? 6 “Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9a Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’

 

MAIN BODY: 그 금식이 나를 위하여 한 것이냐?(Was it for me that you fasted?)

1.     “나를 위하여”에서 “주님을 위하여”로 - From “For myself” to “For the Lord”.

고린도전서(1 Corinthians) 10:31, 31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 31.그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라.

 

2.     “나의 종교적 열심”에서 “주님의 의를 향한 열심”으로 - From “Zeal for my religion” to “Zeal for the Lord's righteousness”.

스가랴(Zechariah) 7:8-10, 8.여호와의 말씀이 스가랴에게 임하여 이르시되 9.만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하여 이르시기를 너희는 진실한 재판을 행하며 서로 인애와 긍휼을 베풀며 10.과부와 고아와 나그네와 궁핍한 자를 압제하지 말며 서로 해하려고 마음에 도모하지 말라 하였으나 8 And the word of the Lord came to Zechariah, saying, 9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.”

창세기(Genesis) 18:17-19, 17.여호와께서 이르시되 내가 하려는 것을 아브라함에게 숨기겠느냐 18.아브라함은 강대한 나라가 되고 천하 만민은 그로 말미암아 복을 받게 될 것이 아니냐 19.내가 그로 그 자식과 권속에게 명하여 여호와의 도를 지켜 의와 공도를 행하게 하려고 그를 택하였나니 이는 나 여호와가 아브라함에게 대하여 말한 일을 이루려 함이니라. 17 The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18 seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

 

3.     “나의 소욕을 듣는 것”에서 “주님의 음성을 듣는 것”으로 - From “Listening to my desires” to “Listening to the Lord's voice”.

스가랴(Zechariah) 7:11-14, 11.그들이 듣기를 싫어하여 등을 돌리며 듣지 아니하려고 귀를 막으며 12.그 마음을 금강석 같게 하여 율법과 만군의 여호와가 그의 영으로 옛 선지자들을 통하여 전한 말을 듣지 아니하므로 큰 진노가 만군의 여호와께로부터 나왔도다 13.내가 불러도 그들이 듣지 아니한 것처럼 그들이 불러도 내가 듣지 아니하리라 만군의 여호와가 말하였느니라 14.내가 그들을 바람으로 불어 알지 못하던 여러 나라에 흩었느니라 그 후에 이 땅이 황폐하여 오고 가는 사람이 없었나니 이는 그들이 아름다운 땅을 황폐하게 하였음이니라 하시니라. 11 But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear. 12 They made their hearts diamond-hard lest they should hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. 사무엘상(1 Samuel) 15:22, 22.사무엘이 이르되 여호와께서 번제와 다른 제사를 그의 목소리를 청종하는 것을 좋아하심 같이 좋아하시겠나이까 순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 숫양의 기름보다 나으니 22 And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 주님의 음성을 청종하여 주님의 뜻을 알고 나 중심에서 주님 중심으로 변화되어 가시기 바랍니다. – I pray that you listen to the Lord's voice, discern His will, so that you may be transformed from self-centredness to Lord-centredness.
