TITLE: 너희는 여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알지어다.(Taste and see that the Lord is good!)

TEXT PASSAGE: 시편(Psalm) 34:1-10, [개역개정:ESV]

[다윗이 아비멜렉 앞에서 미친 체하다가 쫓겨나서 지은 시] 1.내가 여호와를 항상 송축함이여 내 입술로 항상 주를 찬양하리이다 2.내 영혼이 여호와를 자랑하리니 곤고한 자들이 이를 듣고 기뻐하리로다 3.나와 함께 여호와를 광대하시다 하며 함께 그의 이름을 높이세 4.내가 여호와께 간구하매 내게 응답하시고 내 모든 두려움에서 나를 건지셨도다 5.그들이 주를 앙망하고 광채를 내었으니 그들의 얼굴은 부끄럽지 아니하리로다 6.이 곤고한 자가 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그의 모든 환난에서 구원하셨도다 7.여호와의 천사가 주를 경외하는 자를 둘러 진 치고 그들을 건지시는도다 8.너희는 여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알지어다 그에게 피하는 자는 복이 있도다 9.너희 성도들아 여호와를 경외하라 그를 경외하는 자에게는 부족함이 없도다 10.젊은 사자는 궁핍하여 주릴지라도 여호와를 찾는 자는 모든 좋은 것에 부족함이 없으리로다. [ESV] [Of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.] 1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! 4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! 9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! 10 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Question: 일상에서 하나님의 자녀된 우리가 할 일은? - What are we to do as children of God in our daily lives?

OUTLINE: 너희는 여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알지어다.(Taste and see that the Lord is good!)

1. 여호와 하나님을 높여 찬양하라. - Exalt and Praise the Lord God.

2. 여호와 하나님께 간구하라. - Seek the LORD God.

3. 여호와 하나님을 경험하라. - Experience the LORD God.

INTRODUCTION: [링컨이 한 평생 마음에 새긴 성경구절] -A Bible verse that Lincoln took to heart for the rest of his life.

워싱턴에 있는 박물관에 가면 링컨 대통령이 쓰던 성경이 보관되어 있습니다. 그런데 그 성경 속에는 링컨이 너무나도 자주 보아서 관람객의 눈에 드러나는 구절이 있습니다. 그 페이지 주위에는 눈물 자국도 있습니다. 단어마다 손가락으로 눌러서 생긴 손때 묻은 자국도 있습니다. 바로 시34:4의 말씀입니다. “내가 여호와께 간구하매 내게 응답하시고 내 모든 두려움에서 나를 건지셨도다.” 시편 34:4은 아브라함 링컨 대통령이 스트레스가 많았던 대통령 재임 시절에 극심한 두려움에서 벗어날 수 있게 해준 구절입니다.

- A museum in Washington houses a Bible that once belonged to President Abraham Lincoln. But there's a passage in that Bible that Lincoln looked at so often that it stands out to visitors. There are tear marks around the page. There are also finger marks around each word. It's the words of Psalm 34:4. “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4 is the verse that liberated President Abraham Lincoln from his besetting fears during the very stressful days of his presidency.

CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 주 하나님을 높혀 찬양하고 어려움 중에 주께 간구하며 삶 속에서 그분을 경험하며 살아가시기 바랍니다. - I pray that you praise the Lord God on high, seek the Lord in times of trouble so that you may experience Him in your lives.
